I love when celebrities wear cute clothes that we can all afford! Taylor Swift was photographed wearing a Bebe 2b Tiered Party Dress, available from Amazon.com and/or bebe.com for only $39.95 (source).
We’ll supply the dress, you add the attitude! A strapless party dress stripes with wide bands of gradient color. Thin satin halter strap can be added for a second look. Straight cut bodice; built in boning adds to shapely contour. Empire waist. Pleats fall along the first band of color. Three more color bands layer to the hem. Fully lined dress; exposed back zip. Center back to hem: 35?.

It’s so Fluffy, I’m gonna die!!!!
Okay, I loved the movie (Despicable Me) more than I love these boots… But I do dig these boots much more than the first pair of fluffy boots that I talked about…..way back when - I think it’s the pointy-toe hidden-platform that makes me prefer the Wang version. Although I must admit that Marni deserves a lot of credit for being way ahead of the trend on this one since their version was selling back in 2008.

For me, summer means lots of time at the beach. Although I no longer live on California’s Central Coast, I still spend every moment I can in the sand, or at least dressing like I’m headed to the beach. While in Santa Cruz for the 4th of July I realized I need new flip flops! There are some great new designer sandals available this summer that are rather stylish. Pure luxury at the beach – I love it!

We (very briefly) showed you these Dsquared spinal cord shoes wayyy back in March. Those of you who were intrigued by that visual snippet will be glad to know that not only have these Dsquared2 fall 2010 runway spine-shoes gone into production, but that they are available for pre-order now at Luisaviaroma for arrival no later than September 30, 2010. Styles currently available include a bandage sandal; a peep-toe, ankle-strap pump; a closed-toe ankle boot; and a taller-than-me wowzer pair of sky-high, thigh-high boots.
Prices range from $1275 – 1650.
*Note to Halloween lovers: ‘Arrival by September 30th’ means that these should be received in plenty of time for those wanting to wear the perfect Halloween statement shoe on October 31st. From the major buzz I have seen since these showed up recently for pre-sale - if you wait until fall to purchase these, you run a true risk that they’ll be long gone.

Sometimes it’s difficult to tell when a style is simply inspired by recent trends rather than a knockoff of a specific designer’s shoe.
Not so in this case.
Behold spring’s ‘Joelle’ from the LAMB shoe line.
LAMB ‘Joelle’ $383 $251.99 via Heels.com , $208.45 via Endless.com & $195 via Zappos.com
VS.
Dollhouse ‘Burkenna’ $59.95 via Endless/ Type Z ‘Jacoba’ $99 $71.28 @ Zappos & $66.50 @ 6pm
I’m not exactly going out on a limb here by pointing out the similarities between the LAMB originals and these styles from Dollhouse and Type Z.
I will note that I am a bit relieved that neither brand has decided to make mirror-image copies. If you are going to get a look for less, I prefer that there be easy differentiation from the original style. (YMMV).
I admit to liking the Dollhouse primarily due to the change to a closed toe. I’m still wishy-washy on the whole peep-toes-on-boots thing; nice to look at, but too impractical when rain & snow are a regular part of my Pac NW life. I also like the addition of a hidden platform.
Plus, the Dollhouse comes in jewel-toned blue, which the LAMB never offered. Squee !!! This color makes my heart all fluttery……..
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Blue….Sigh>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Aside from that, the LAMB is definitely the way to go. The quality and level of detail is just so apparent compared to the Type Z bootie. Plus, it has the gold hardware, which makes it an easy evening out choice. The silver hardware of the Type Z almost looks gunmetal in color, making it feel more casual in tone.

I think we’ve all heard the old adage “If the shoe fits, buy it!” and then the rendition “If the shoe fits, buy it in every color”! If not, then you must be living in a shoebox – pun intended. I’m all for good fitting shoes, and when I find a good fitting shoe, I do tend to buy them in several hues. For instance, how many pairs of Aerosole mules do I own now? Probably more than the total number of shoes most people own.
But what happens when the shoe doesn’t fit? Usually they find their way to the back of my closet collecting dust. I hate to part with cute shoes that I spent good money on and still pine over sad that they don’t fit. Well, now we can Sell, Swap, or Shop for Shoes at “If The Shoe Doesn’t Fit” website! It’s an auction site just for shoe lovers.
You can list new or used shoes for sale for only $1 per listing with no membership required. There are no extra costs for headlines, highlights or photos (unlike Ebay). In fact, you can post up to eight pictures per listing for free. There are also no closing or final value fees either (this is where the Ebay costs add up). If your shoe doesn’t sell, you can auto relist your shoes for free as well.
I’ve found that shoes don’t sell well at garage and rummage sales – you can actually get a bigger tax deduction by donating them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. So I think this is a great idea! In fact, right now you can get two (2) free listings when you enter “Soles” on your “My Account” page to redeem coupon code.
I just registered – now watch me ended up buying more pairs of shoes than I sell!

This installment of our ‘Shoe Showdown’ faceoff concerns a shoe with a feminine silhouette coupled with edgy studs. The Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud 150 Studded slingbacks has been worn by so many celebrities, I’ve honestly lost track. Instead, I’ve narrowed it down to my top 3 picks, which would be between Dakota Fanning, Kim Kardashian, and Heidi Klum. Do tell, who gets your vote in this Louboutin showdown and why.
My vote after the jump….
And Shomore’s (that’s me) winner goes to Dakota Fanning. While nothing ever looks bad on supermodel Heidi Klum, the bar has been set high for her. She looks great, yet I wasn’t instantly wowed. Kim Kardashian has real woman curves that make me jealous but I’ve never been a huge fan of white dresses unless there’s an altar involved. Dakota, though, looks so age-appropriate and vampirishly delicious in his nude dress with Louboutin Clou Noeud pumps.
The black version of the Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud 150 Studded slingbacks are available at Net-A-Porter for $1195.
